An indigineous grape from Italy's largest wine producing region, Nerello Mascalese from Sicily is medium bodied, juicy and grippy. Great for BBQs! It has firm acidity and cherry red fruit. Nerello Mascalese is one of the lesser known red grapes from Sicily and its most suited for those who like to drink the lighter styles of red wine such as Pinot Noirs. The Italian style tannins also mean that its perfect with pork and salamis. A great wine for those who like to explore the grapes off the beaten track.
