Best Red Wine in Ireland 2021 - National Off Licence Awards  This is a wine for anyone who loves dark, rich flavours and a big full body. The grapes here are Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera, both natives to these southernly region of Italy. These opulent and rich flavours are complemented by chocolate and coffee notes coming from the short time spend it oak. If you are a fan of Malbec or Shiraz, this wine will knock your socks off! Borgo dei Trulli based in the province of Lecce and the heartland of Salice Salentino, farms organically and the wines are certified vegan friendly. It is a relatively new project by Alessandro Michelon who is one of Italy’s most innovative and experienced winemakers.

I have been using the Nude wine company for a few years now. I really enjoy the description of the various wines by Michelle on the website, with videos, which helps us decide which ones to pick. The wines are reasonably priced and you know you are getting something a bit different from those on the supermarket shelves.
