Description
Morey-Coffinet Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc is a pristine Chardonnay with striking purity and finesse. Aromas of green apple, lemon curd and exotic citrus lead into a textured palate with bright acidity, gentle spice, and stony minerality. Oak plays a supporting role, giving structure without masking the energy and elegance that define Thibault Morey’s low-intervention style.
The fruit for this wine comes from 1.5 hectares of old vines on the lower slopes of Chassagne, planted between 1960 and 1986. Domaine Morey-Coffinet has been a benchmark producer in the village since its founding in 1978, combining the legacy of two great winemaking families. Today, Thibault Morey and his father Michel farm 8.5 hectares using biodynamic principles, crafting wines that are both expressive and transparent. With holdings in top sites including Batard-Montrachet and Les Pucelles, their whites show off the deep mineral identity and generous power that make Chassagne-Montrachet one of the most sought-after appellations in Burgundy.
