Description
This classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape red wine delivers richness, structure, and real southern Rhône character. A blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and small amounts of Vaccarèse, Counoise, and Cinsault, it opens with aromas of dark berries, dried herbs, and subtle gamey spice. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, with layers of ripe black fruit, liquorice, and black pepper, supported by firm yet ripe tannins. Made with 60% whole bunch fermentation and aged in large oak foudres for 15 months, this Grenache-based blend is powerful, elegant, and built to age.
Bosquet des Papes is one of the most respected family-run producers in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, producing traditional wines since 1860. Today, Nicolas Boiron continues the estate’s commitment to low-intervention winemaking and old-vine fruit across varied vineyard sites. The ‘Cuvée Traditionnelle’ is a standout example offering depth, authenticity, and excellent value in the world of Rhone Valley red wines.
