Product Information
This Alentejo red is a real stunner. The aromas hit you right away—ripe black fruits with a touch of liquorice lingering in the background. On the palate, it’s rich and velvety, loaded with dark, juicy fruit and soft, mellow tannins. There’s a complexity to it, with layers of flavor unfolding as you sip, leading to a long, spicy finish that keeps you coming back for more.
Made from Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, and Trincadeira, the wine is foot-trodden and fermented in the traditional open wineries of Herdade do Mouchão. Aged for 12 months in a mix of Portuguese chestnut, oak, and French barrels, followed by six months in the bottle, it’s a beautifully balanced wine with a smoothness that only gets better with time. Perfect for pairing with a wide range of dishes, this is a bold, versatile red that’s both typically Alentejan and refreshingly modern.
