Product Information
This isn’t just rosé — it’s the rosé, arguably the best in the world. Domaine Tempier’s Bandol is a benchmark: powerful yet poised, with wild herbs, sun-dried apricots, blood orange, and a touch of sea salt. Made primarily from Mourvèdre, it has structure, soul, and an irresistible of savoury complexity you rarely find in pink wine.
It’s gastronomic — think grilled langoustines, herby roast chicken, or a Provençal tart. Bone dry, beautifully textured, and capable of ageing. Yes, ageing. This rosé has backbone. The Peyraud family's passion and advocacy for Bandol began when Lucie "Lulu" Tempier married Lucien Peyraud in 1936, inheriting Domaine Tempier, a family farm since 1834. Inspired by a pre-phylloxera bottle of Bandol, Lucien championed the Mourvèdre grape, leading to the establishment of Bandol as an A.O.C. in 1941. His legacy includes the revival of Mourvèdre, now essential to Bandol reds, and the creation of structured, long-lasting wines that have earned Domaine Tempier a reputation as a grand cru de Provence.
