Bedoba vineyards

Bedoba

Bedoba (meaning "Day of Luck") is a Georgian winery specializing in indigenous Saperavi and orange wines crafted using traditional qvevri fermentation methods. Located in Kakheti's renowned Kvareli and Kindzmarauli appellations, Bedoba sources grapes from 30-year-old vines grown at over 400 meters elevation on black shale and limestone soils along the Duruji River valley. Winemakers Nugzar Ksovreli and Thierry Fontannaz blend Georgian tradition with modern innovation, fermenting in ancient qvevri clay vessels and stainless steel tanks before aging in American oak barrels and large wooden vats. Their flagship Saperavi delivers fresh acidity and soft tannins with extended bottle aging for seamless texture, while their orange wine blend of Rkatsiteli and Kisi offers textural complexity with notes of dried apricot, honey, and wild herbs. Sustainable practices and hand-harvesting ensure every bottle captures authentic Georgian winemaking heritage.
