Uivo Alvarinho is a vibrant, high-altitude expression of Portugal’s iconic Alvarinho grape, crafted in the Douro Valley by renowned winemaker Tiago Sampaio of Folias de Baco. Unlike traditional coastal Alvarinho, this wine brings a unique minerality and structure, thanks to six months on lees and a mix of schist, clay, and granite soils. The nose is bright and aromatic, bursting with lime zest, white peach, and a hint of fresh mint, while the palate is precise, textured, and layered with citrus, stone fruit, and a subtle saline edge.
