The Monterrei region is the smallest of the Galician DOs and it has the warmest and driest climate in Galicia. The name ‘Via Arxentea’ translates as ‘The Silver Rout’, the local name for the route of El Camino de Santiago to Santiago de Compostela.

Made exclusively from Tempranillo, you would be forgiven for expecting it to taste similar to a Rioja, however Ribero is a much hotter place resulting in a much more robust style of wine.
