Product Information
This is Pinot Noir with an Italian soul, showcasing purity, finesse, and beautifully layered complexity. Ruby red in colour, the nose leaps from the glass with aromas of black cherries, raspberries, and plum jam, intertwined with marzipan, cloves, cinnamon, and a touch of earthiness. The palate is fresh and lively, with silky tannins, bright acidity, and a savoury edge that makes it incredibly moreish and food-friendly. The high-altitude vineyards preserve the wine’s energy and vibrancy, balancing its elegant structure with depth and aromatic intensity.
Franz Haas was a visionary of Italian winemaking, pioneering quality-driven Pinot Nero in Alto Adige. The Pinzano, Gleno, and Mazzon vineyards, planted between 350-900 metres above sea level, provide the perfect setting for this delicate yet powerful variety. The vineyard’s altitude ensured the grapes retained freshness and acidity, resulting in a wine with balance, depth, and length. Aged in small oak barriques, this wine delivers exceptional aromatic clarity, refined tannins, and a long, elegant finish.
