Description
From the southern tip of the Cote de Beaune, this old vine village Maranges has lots of hedgerow fruit; a 'mélange' (mix) of raspberry and blackberry flavours. Beautifully ripe with some 'sous-bois' and mineral earth flavours. 10% new oak is just perfect. It has hints of ‘sous-bois’ (earthiness) and enticing cherry flavours. The tannins are very ripe & there is sufficient acidities to give this wine excellent grip. The warmth of the vintage is expressed in both the ‘volume’ and the richness of fruit.
