Product Information
The Maria Casanovas Glac Rosat Brut Nature presents a stunning raspberry pink hue with bright clarity and fine, persistent bubbles that dance elegantly in the glass. After 12 months of aging, this organic rosé cava offers an intense yet delicate bouquet where red fruit aromas meld beautifully with herbaceous and floral notes, all supported by subtle aging complexity. On the palate, the wine delivers exceptional freshness and elegance, with crunchy red fruit flavours complemented by bright citrus notes and a creamy texture that speaks to its careful craftsmanship. The finish is remarkably persistent, leaving a fresh and creamy aftertaste that showcases the wine's excellent acidity and well-rounded character.
The Maria Casanovas winery embodies generations of family winemaking tradition in Catalunya's Penedès region. After years of farming grapes for Freixenet, the family launched their own production in 1994, moving to their current facility in 2011 where Aurora now leads the new generation. Located 200 meters above sea level in a protected forest setting, their 9-hectare estate benefits from both sea and mountain influences, creating a unique terroir for their 30-year-old vines. The family practices completely organic, manual viticulture on their farm-to-bottle operation, producing approximately 100,000 bottles annually of Brut Nature cava with no dosage. While primarily sold in Catalunya, 35% reaches export markets, reflecting their commitment to sustainable winemaking that aligns with Penedès' transition to fully organic production by 2025.
