About Yves Cuilleron, Cornas 'Les Cotes' 2017
Yves Cuilleron Cornas "Les Côtes" 2017 is one of those increasingly rare wines that is almost impossible to source today. Mature Northern Rhône wines with documented winery provenance are becoming harder to find every year, making this release particularly special. These bottles have remained in the Yves Cuilleron cellars in the Rhône Valley since vintage, ensuring perfect storage conditions and allowing the wine to develop exactly as intended.
Yves Cuilleron is one of the Northern Rhône's most respected winemakers, with more than 35 years of winemaking experience. Based in Chavanay, at the northern end of the Rhône Valley, he took over the family domaine in 1987 when it comprised just a few hectares of vines. Today, he is recognised as one of the region's leading producers, making wines across some of the Rhône's most prestigious appellations, including Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Côte-Rôtie and Saint-Péray. He is renowned for his meticulous vineyard management and thoughtful approach in the winery, producing wines that reflect the character of each vineyard and vintage. His wines are recognised for their purity, balance and ability to age gracefully, earning him a loyal following among collectors and lovers of Northern Rhône wines.
