Product Information

A classic Puglian Primitivo, bursting with ripe red cherries, blackberries, and a touch of baking spice, wrapped in a smooth, velvety texture. Primitivo di Manduria is a premium Primitivo, with Manduria being a premium vineayrd site. Deep ruby red with violet hues, this wine is bold and expressive, with layers of plum, sweet spice, and hints of leather adding depth. The palate is full-bodied and generous, with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and remarkable length. Rich yet beautifully refined, this Primitivo di Manduria is the perfect match for ribs, grilled chicken, roast lamb, or pulled pork.

Made by Vigneti del Salento, part of the renowned Fantini Group, this wine is the result of decades of expertise and a deep connection to the land. Winemaker Filippo Baccalaro, a native of Piedmont, has spent over 20 years in Puglia, drawn by the region’s intensely flavoured fruit and minimal-intervention winemaking potential. The grapes come from old bush vines in Manduria and Sava, rooted in calcareous clay soils rich in iron and minerals. These unique conditions create a Primitivo that is rich, complex, and true to its terroir—a stunning example of Southern Italy’s most iconic red.
