Description
This rich and opulent Rioja is a new to the shop. Gorgeous, big and really juicy, it is a glass brimming with deliciousness. It has flavours of raspberry and plum with notes of liquorice and bayleaf. This is unoaked style and will be delicious with or without food. This is an unusual as its nearly exclusively Tempranillo with only 3% Garnacha in the blend. You can really taste how good Tempranillo is in this wine. Bodega Akutain is a small 6.5ha family estate set up 40 years ago and now run by secind generation Jon Peñagaricano’s. It is located 5km west of Haro’s epicentre. The grapes are farmed organically they have a minimal intervention approach in the winery. The wines are bottles unfined. This approach results in wines that are really intense in flavour andfull of life.
