Description
Lucale Primitivo Appassimento, Puglia is rich and velvety, with concentrated notes of ripe blackberry, black cherry and a hint of sweet spice. The appassimento method gives the wine extra depth and softness, creating a plush, rounded mouthfeel without tipping into heaviness. The finish is long and warming, making this a generous, crowd pleasing southern Italian red.
Lucale is produced in Puglia, a region famous for sun soaked vineyards and naturally ripe styles of Primitivo. The warm climate allows grapes to develop intense flavour, while the appassimento technique adds richness and texture. Puglia has become a go to region for bold yet approachable reds with great value. This wine is a classic expression of the region, offering depth, warmth and plenty of character.
