Description
A former White Wine of the Year at the National Off-Licence Awards, this Chardonnay is a luxurious and rich white with lemony acidity. Intense with tropical fruits layered with a lovely vanilla undertone. Only a small portion of this is fermented in oak, resulting in an elegant style. Established by the DeLoach Family from San Francisco in 1973, the estate was purchased by Burgundian wine maker Jean Claude Boisset in 2003. He saw similarities between his native Burgundy and the Russian River Valley and saw potential to grow native Burgundian Varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. He converted all 7 hectares of the land surrounding the winery to biodynamic farming to produce the best quality wines possible. He also started trialling some native californian zinfandel to great success.
