Description
This is classic white Burgundy with finesse and quiet confidence. It opens with a fine floral lift, think white blossom and honeysuckle, backed by notes of citrus, white peach and just a whisper of smoke. The palate is generous but elegant, with creamy texture, crisp acidity and a long, gently mineral finish that lingers with real grace.
Domaine Larue is based in the village of Gamay, within the Côte de Beaune, and has been a family-run operation since 1946. Their Chassagne-Montrachet vineyards are south-facing, sitting on clay-limestone soils at 230 metres altitude, which brings freshness and structure to the fruit. Grapes are picked by hand and gently pressed before fermenting and ageing in oak barrels, 20 percent of which are new, for ten months. The result is a Chardonnay that reflects its prestigious terroir with clarity and character.
