Description
WOW! This wine really did stop us in our tracks, so much so that we ordered a box as soon as we tasted it! It tastes twice the price is has more similarites with a fancy Brunello than it does with a Chianti, so to have it at under €20 is a steal. The flavours are of dried rosemary and thyme, sweet and sour cherries and a dash of balsamic vinegar. This wine is crying out for some chargrilled steak or roast lamb. DIVINE. In the small medieval town of Montefollonico are stunning thirteenth century cellars. Vittorio Innocenti crafts wines which embody the best of Tuscan winemaking tradition. Their Chianti Colli Senesi is a blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo Toscano, and it's a brilliant made to match the local food. It is a wine worth waiting for.
