Description
This is classic red Burgundy with a southern accent. Maranges from Domaine Jean-Claude Regnaudot is a rich, structured Pinot Noir full of brooding dark cherry, wild berries, and warming spice. Lifted and earthy on the nose, the palate is sleek yet textured, with crunchy acidity and fine tannins that carry through to a long, savoury finish.
Based in Dezize-les-Maranges, Domaine Regnaudot is a fourth-generation estate quietly producing some of the best-value reds in the Cote d’Or. Didier Regnaudot farms old vines planted as far back as 1935, following traditional methods and minimal intervention. His vineyards sit on cooler, late-ripening slopes that bring freshness and precision to the wine. While the region is often overshadowed by nearby Volnay or Santenay, this is proof that Maranges can go toe to toe with its famous neighbours.
