Description
Vibrant red in colour, with aromas of red and black cherries, plums and black olives. This medium bodied red has a silky texture, fine tannins and a fresh acidity. Perfect with grilled lamb cutlets, or roast pork loin. A gorgeous wine produced by icons of the Irish wine industry in France; Simon Tyrrell and Gerard Maguire are joined by Charles Derain for this exciting wine project in the Cotes du Rhone.
The vineyards are all either organic or in the process of conversion with some biodynamic practices included. The vineyards have been carefully selected on cooler elevated sites and harvesting is all done by hand and carried out a least a week earlier than the surrounding estates resulting in fresh, juicy and mouth-watering wines. Fermented using natural yeasts in cement tanks with a blend of 55% Grenache and 45% Syrah. Only around 9,000 bottles are made annually.
