Description
Colli Ripani Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a generous, sun soaked Italian red wine layered with ripe black cherry, plum and a hint of sweet spice. It has all the gorgeous, generous sunny fruit you expect from Montepulciano, yet there is also a lovely firm grip of tannin that gives it structure and balance. Medium to full bodied and smooth, it is comforting and food friendly while still feeling grown up and composed.
Produced in the warm yet breezy Abruzzo region on Italy’s Adriatic coast, the vineyards benefit from the contrast between mountain air and coastal influence. This natural balance allows the grapes to ripen fully while retaining freshness and definition. Colli Ripani focuses on highlighting the purity of Montepulciano without masking it with heavy oak. It is a classic, well structured example of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that delivers flavour, warmth and impressive value.
