Description
Produced in the tiniest of quantities, this absolutely stunning Barolo is a delight! Texture like velvet and extremely elegant, it is open, generous and layered with juicy red cherry flavours overlain with herbs and spices, plus notes of raspberry and cranberry. Unusually for a Barolo, this is already beautiful to drink, but will age well for a decade. Hugely powerful and incredibly elegant. We received an allocation of 12 bottles only. This is very rare. The Mosconi vineyard in the Monteforte d'Alba region is revered as one of its best, the jewel in the crown. In 1978 Piero Benevelli started out with the 5 hectares, concentrating on Piedmonts classic varieties. His son, Massimo, is now at the helm and he quickly established himself as cult figure, with the most apt description being a winemaker of character, soul and originality.
