Description
One of the best Tuscan reds we’ve tasted lately. Il Seggio oozes flavour, depth and boldness, bursting with notes of cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant alongside subtle hints of spice and minerality. The palate is plush and concentrated, supported by soft yet structured tannins that bring harmony and poise. A true Super Tuscan.
Poggio al Tesoro sits just 3km from the Mediterranean Sea, where sunlight and sea breezes combine to create ideal conditions for ripening. The blend of Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Petit Verdot (10%) grows on Tuscany’s finest gravel and clay soils, giving remarkable purity and richness to the fruit. Owned by the renowned Allegrini family, this award-winning Bolgheri red is aged for 12 months in French oak to enhance its texture and depth. A superb choice for lovers of structured, full-bodied Italian wine with elegance and energy.
