Description
Quinta de Azevedo Alvarinho is a beautifully expressive Portuguese white wine, brimming with orchard fruit, ripe pear and white peach layered over bright citrus freshness. Like the Loureiro, it spends time in old oak barrels, adding gentle creaminess and weight without any dominant oaky flavour. The result is a fuller, more aromatic style with depth and texture, while still retaining the vibrant lift that makes Alvarinho so compelling.
Produced in the heart of the Vinho Verde region, this Alvarinho benefits from Atlantic breezes that preserve natural acidity and clarity of fruit. Alvarinho is one of Portugal’s most prized native grape varieties, known for its structure, ageing potential and layered aromatics. Quinta de Azevedo combines careful vineyard work with thoughtful oak ageing to create a wine that balances richness with precision. For lovers of textured whites such as fine Chardonnay or premium Albarino, this is an elegant and characterful discovery.
