Description
This wine is fresh with fine bubbles, clean floral notes, and a grassy aroma. Notes of banana and citrus fruits emerge, with a crunchy finish and balanced acidity. Made from indigenous grapes and founded in 1999 by Vicente García, it is recognized as one of the top Cavas, with the family’s winemaking heritage dating back to 1808. The continental climate of hot summers and cold winters is perfect for grape cultivation.
Owned by Vicente Garcia and Ana Suria, Pago de Tharsys spans 13 hectares in Requeña. The proximity of the vineyards to the winery ensures quick grape transfer, reducing spoilage risks. The blend is 75% Macabeo and 25% Parellada, with initial fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 14°C. After one year of aging, the wine is disgorged without adding any expedition liquor, resulting in a bone-dry, fresh wine with fine bubbles and balanced acidity.
