Muscadet
Muscadet is one of France's most underrated and food-friendly white wines. Produced from the Melon de Bourgogne grape in the western Loire Valley near the Atlantic coast, it is a wine of striking mineral freshness, crisp citrus and a distinctive saline, oceanic quality that makes it the definitive match for oysters and fresh seafood. The finest examples are aged on their lees, known as sur lie, for extended periods, developing a creamy, bready complexity that elevates Muscadet well beyond its modest reputation. Outstanding value and endlessly refreshing.
