Valpolicella Wines
Valpolicella is one of Veneto's most characterful and versatile red wines. Made primarily from Corvina grapes in the hills north-west of Verona, it ranges from light, fresh and easy-drinking Classico styles to the rich, concentrated Ripasso, where the wine is refermented over the dried grape skins used for Amarone. The result across all styles is a wine of real charm, bright cherry fruit, earthy spice and a lively acidity that makes it brilliant at the dinner table. Few Italian reds offer this much variety and pleasure at this price point.
