Description
A reason to drink Italian red wine! Aged gracefully in oak barrels for a generous two years, the Vino Nobile embodies the essence of Sangiovese. This wine, both dense and delightfully spicy, is a captivating glass that unfolds slowly, revealing intricate layers of dark cherry, plum, the comforting spices of Christmas, and delicate hints of tea. It is dry and with a grippy finish that carries a subtle yet enchanting aroma of violets. It will definitely benefit from decanting, or at the very least, being open for an hour before drinking. In the small medieval town of Montefollonico are stunning thirteenth century cellars. Vittorio Innocenti crafts wines which embody the best of Tuscan winemaking tradition. Their Chianti Colli Senesi is a blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo Toscano, and it's a brilliant made to match the local food. It is a wine worth waiting for.
