Description
A wine for those who love premium French whites. This is produced in the classic white Chateauneuf du Pape style, a blend of three white grape varietals: Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier. Made in a fresh, tart and crisp style with only a small portion of the Marsanne and Viognier grapes aged in French oak for 7 months, this wine is all about the peach, nectarine, pear and ginger flavours. Gorgeously intense and fruity, this is divine. This will is the ultimate food wine and will be at its best when enjoyed with rich food dishes like pork shoulder, coq au vin or even with Cod or Monkfish. John Duval is nothing short of a legendary winemaker, having spent nearly 30 years in Penfolds and 16 as their chief winemaker. John was at the helm of Penfold's Grange for over a decade and you can taste the majesty in this wine. In case you can't tell, we LOVE it.
