Description
The 'Sur Gamay' has a fruity, white orchard nose and suggests freshness and elegance. Flavours are lime and apple, wrapped in juicy, fresh citrus (lemon, mandarin) and small notes of fresh lychee associated with slight touches of flint. Florent Moingeon said his 2021 is perfectly ripened with good freshness, mineral richness and excellent balance. Drinks beautifully now. This is an estate to watch. Florent Moingeon is the 3rd generation to manage the estate, joining his father and uncle in 2009. He has been responsible for introducing dramatic changes; introducing homeopathic soil management, lower density plantings, lower yields and new canopy management. The resulting wines are strikingly fresh with great energy and a heightened focus on minerality.
