Description
This lovely dark red/purple Margaux entices with an intense nose of dark berries, vanilla hints and cassis. The soft, complex palate displays elegant ripeness with delicate fruit and smoke notes, complemented by spices that stretch towards a firm yet elegant finish.
This second wine of Château Labégorce emerged from an interesting history, as the Labégorce properties were once combined before the French Revolution, then split for centuries until Hubert Perrodo (founder of Perenco oil) began reuniting them from 1989 onwards. Following his death in 2006, his daughter Nathalie continued his vision, merging the estates into a single 55-hectare property with Château Labégorce as the grand vin and Zédé de Labégorce as its second wine.
