Barbera
This is Piedmont's most widely planted red grape and one of Italy's most food-friendly varieties. Naturally high in acidity and low in tannins, it produces wines of vibrant cherry fruit, juicy freshness and easy drinkability that make it an absolute pleasure at the dinner table. Barbera d'Alba and Barbera d'Asti are the two flagship expressions, with the finest examples offering real depth and complexity alongside that signature bright acidity. If you love Italian red wine, it deserves a place in your regular rotation.
