Beaujolais Wines
Beaujolais is one of France's most joyful and rewarding wine regions, and one of the most underrated. Situated just south of Burgundy, it is the home of Gamay, a grape that produces wines of irresistible freshness, bright cherry fruit and a lightness of touch that makes them endlessly drinkable. Do not be put off by the Beaujolais Nouveau association. The ten Beaujolais crus, including Morgon, Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent, produce wines of genuine complexity and depth that reward careful attention. Serve with a light chill and good food, and Beaujolais will rarely let you down.
