Priorat Wines
Priorat is one of Spain's most dramatic and prestigious wine regions. Carved into the rugged hills of Catalonia, its ancient slate and quartz soils, known locally as llicorella, force vines to dig deep and produce grapes of extraordinary concentration. The wines are powerful and intense. Old vine Grenache and Carignan dominate, producing bold, mineral reds with dark fruit, earthy depth and a commanding presence in the glass. One of only two Spanish regions to hold DOCa status alongside Rioja, Priorat is a region for serious wine lovers who want something truly exceptional.
