Aromas of red cherry, wild raspberry, and crushed violets lead into a palate that is silky yet vibrant, with layers of cranberry, sweet spice, and a hint of earthiness. The fine-grained tannins are well-integrated, while the bright acidity keeps everything fresh and poised. The finish is long and refined, promising even greater complexity with time in bottle.
Domaine Chevalier & Filles, a historic estate in Ladoix at the foot of the famed Corton hill, is now led by Chloé and Julie Chevalier, a dynamic fourth-generation team bringing fresh energy to this rising appellation. Their old-vine (45 years on average) Pinot Noir comes from chalky-clay soils, giving the wine minerality and depth. Aged for 12 months in oak (30% second-use barrels), this is a wine of finesse and structure, rewarding both early enjoyment and short-term cellaring.
