Description
The El Perdiguero Crianza, from the Cigales region is a hidden gem that Rioja lovers will adore. Produced from Tempranillo it is smooth and expressive, with ripe red cherry, strawberry and a touch of vanilla spice layered through the fruit. A short period in oak adds gentle warmth and roundness without dominating, keeping the style balanced and approachable. The finish is soft and polished, making it an easy step up from everyday Tempranillo. A winner all round, and brilliant value for money!
Bodegas El Perdiguero is based in Cigales, a small but historic region in northern Spain traditionally known for Tempranillo. Sitting close to Ribera del Duero, Cigales shares a similar climate, producing wines with freshness and structure. The Crianza style allows for subtle oak ageing while keeping fruit at the centre. This is a great example of modern Cigales, offering depth, balance and excellent value.
