About Lacuesta Vermouth Seco Blanco, Spain
Martinez Lacuesta Blanco Vermouth is one of those bottles that completely changes people’s perception of vermouth. Intensely fragrant, floral and herbaceous, it layers citrus peel, alpine herbs, white blossom and warming spice over a rich yet beautifully balanced palate. Made from a neutral white wine base infused with 24 natural herbs and botanicals, this Spanish white vermouth has a silky texture and a long, aromatic finish, with the 95 grams of residual sugar bringing richness without becoming cloying. Served ice cold over ice with a slice of lemon or alongside salty snacks, it is vibrant, elegant and incredibly moreish.
Martinez Lacuesta has been producing vermouth in Rioja since 1937, with the origins of the recipe linked to the difficult years surrounding the Spanish Civil War. The Lacuesta family acquired the original formula through local connections and began refining it in Haro, where it quickly became part of the aperitivo culture of Northern Spain.
