The Lopez Reserva Blanco was tasted blind in a line up of hundreds of wines across over 20 categories, and was awarded the Best White Wine in the whole competition.
This stunning white wine is one for the chardonnay lovers. Produced from Spain's leading white wine grape, Viura, spends 18 months in a combination of Eastern European, French, and American oak barrels, followed by over three years of bottle aging. The result is is delicately complex, with layers of primary floral notes with hints of oak and vanilla, acquired from its gentle barrel aging. On the palate, its balanced acidity leads the way, offering an elegant and enduring finish with notes of lemon and grapefruit. This is a classic white Rioja done to an exceptionally high standard.
