Produced by Tenuta San Guido in Bolgheri, Le Difese is the third wine of the iconic estate behind Sassicaia, offering an accessible introduction to this world-renowned producer. The 2023 vintage blends Cabernet Sauvignon with Sangiovese, the latter sourced from top sites in Chianti including Rufina and Montespertoli, bringing freshness, structure and aromatic lift. Aged for around 12 months in barrique, often including seasoned barrels from Guidalberto, it combines Bordeaux influence with unmistakable Tuscan identity.
