About Yves Cuilleron, Saint-Joseph Blanc 'Digue' 2018
Yves Cuilleron Saint-Joseph Blanc "Digue" 2018 is a rare opportunity to experience mature 100% Roussanne from France's Northern Rhône at its optimum drinking window. While most Saint-Joseph Blanc is sold and enjoyed young, these bottles have remained carefully cellared at the Yves Cuilleron winery in the Rhône Valley, giving them impeccable provenance and allowing the wine to develop exactly as the winemaker intended.
Yves Cuilleron is one of the Northern Rhône's most respected winemakers, with more than 35 years of winemaking experience. Based in Chavanay, at the northern end of the Rhône Valley, he took over the family domaine in 1987 when it comprised just a few hectares of vines. Today, he is recognised as one of the region's leading producers, making wines across some of the Rhône's most prestigious appellations, including Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Côte-Rôtie and Saint-Péray. He is renowned for his meticulous vineyard management and thoughtful approach in the winery, producing wines that reflect the character of each vineyard and vintage. His wines are recognised for their purity, balance and ability to age gracefully, earning him a loyal following among collectors and lovers of Northern Rhône wines.
