These are the two wines that had Tony completely obsessed this year.
The Dika Frankovka from Croatia totally blew him away over the summer, our first Croatian red and what a gem it is! Medium to full-bodied with delicious aromas of berries, cherries, and blackberries, it's perfectly balanced and goes brilliantly with pizza or spicy pasta. From a historic winery in Slavonia that's been perfecting their craft since the 18th century.
And the Rully White? Pure Burgundian elegance! A 5 star Chardonnay, heaven. It is elegant and complex white Burgundy delivers pure, fresh fruit expression with a touch of richness. The palate is beautifully balanced, offering ripe apple, lemon, and a subtle hint of toasted almond, all wrapped in a silky texture. A lively acidity keeps it refreshing, leading to a long, persistent finish that lingers with minerality and finesse.
