Domaine Perraud Bourgogne Aligote is a fresh and elegant white wine that shines with citrus, stone fruit and a gentle honeyed note. Founded in 2005 by Jean-Christophe Perraud, the domaine brings together four generations of family vineyards across five villages in the Maconnais. From Chardonnay to Gamay, Pinot Noir to Aligote, the range covers Mâcon Villages, Saint Veran, Bourgogne Rouge and beyond. This Chardonnay from Chateau de Cedre Heritage is grown at altitude, giving it a natural freshness that lifts its richer, more generous style. Fermented in stainless steel and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it delivers a creamy, rich and rounded texture, with ripe orchard fruit and a soft, silky feel on the palate. Chateau de Cedre is a highly regarded producer based in the Cahors region of south west France, known for its organic approach and thoughtful, low intervention winemaking. While best known for Malbec, the estate brings the same level of care and precision to this Chardonnay, focusing on purity of fruit and balance. The use of stainless steel keeps the wine clean and expressive, allowing the altitude and vineyard character to shine through. This is a modern French Chardonnay that offers richness without heaviness, and excellent value for those looking beyond classic Burgundy.

Corentin Chavy is the next generation at Domaine Alain Chavy, based in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet. He has big boots to fill as the son of one of Puligny’s most prolific winemakers. While he still works alongside his father, he’s now putting his own stamp on Burgundy by producing wines under his own name. The fruit for this Macon comes from sustainably farmed vineyards at 240 to 350 metres altitude, with a mix of limestone and marl soils adding both zip and fruitiness. Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel at the family cellar, this is a Macon with real Puligny polish.

This is a bright and expressive white Burgundy with all the hallmarks of a well-made Macon. The nose bursts with green apple, white peach, and lemon zest, leading into a mouth-watering palate layered with citrus, stone fruit, and a whisper of almond. A lovely mineral finish adds precision and poise, making it fresh, light on its feet, and thoroughly moreish.

A 5 star Chardonnay from Burgundy, heaven. It is elegant and complex white Burgundy delivers pure, fresh fruit expression with a touch of richness. The palate is beautifully balanced, offering ripe apple, lemon, and a subtle hint of toasted almond, all wrapped in a silky texture. From the tiny village of Chassey-le-Camp, nestled between Santenay and Rully, Karl-Philippe Milan continues his family’s tradition of crafting expressive, fruit-forward wines with minimal intervention. Farming his 11-hectare estate under lutte raisonnée, he avoids excessive new oak, allowing the wine’s natural vibrancy and terroir-driven character to shine through. While Rully may not have the fame of Puligny or Chassagne, this wine is crafted with the same meticulous care—making it an exceptional find at a fraction of the price.
