Astobiza Vermouth bottle with a bitters bottle, a glass of vermouth over ice garnished with an orange slice, and fresh orange wedges on a marble surface

Over the past few weeks we've quietly added something new to the website, and you've taken to it fast. Our first ever non-wine drinks, Vermouth, have become very popular, very quickly.

We've just added more, including a bottle now officially named the Best White Vermouth in the World, Astobiza.

Already love our white Txakoli? You'll love the Astobiza, made from the same grape, Hondarribi Zuri, in the Basque Country, and it comes with its own bitters bottle so you can mix it however you like.

Commonly Asked Questions

What exactly is Vermouth?

A fortified wine infused with botanicals, herbs and spices. Wine, with extra character and sweetness.

How do I drink it?

However you like. Over ice with an orange slice and soda, in a cocktail, or the traditional Spanish way, as a pre-lunch aperitivo.

Do I need to refrigerate it once opened?

Yes, keep it in the fridge and it'll stay fresh for a few weeks.

Is it very alcoholic?

Around 15 to 16.5%, similar to Sherry or Port, so a little goes a long way.

Red or white, what's the difference?

White is lighter and citrusy, red is richer and often spiced.
